Team Motorpoint Yamaha riders Andrew Pitt and Dan Linfoot followed on from Mallory Park both securing solid grid positions for tomorrows race day.
With the new F1 qualifying format it is crucial to make the top ten and the last tranche, both riders made it into the final timed session and it was the young ‘gun’ Dan Linfoot who came out on top of the team rivalry in 6th position.

“Well I have done the hard work again! We have a good start position and I have to capitalise on that this weekend. A good start is so important around here, I know I can run a good race pace and will be all out to make sure I’m in the mix for a good race”
Andrew Pitt the Motorpoint Yamaha new recruit had a great qualifying session, in his first visit to this very technical short track he has worked his way through set up and track management and if it was not for a technical issue he may have been higher than 9th position on the grid.

“Another good weekend for us, I have enjoyed learning the track and feel I am getting stronger with every lap, the handle bar grip came loose in the last session and that was a bit scary! I reckon I could have gone a bit faster but its race day now so let’s get on with it.
Hopefully the rain will miss us and we can get right into a good battle, I think this track is good fun and seems to suit our bike pretty good”

“Both guys’ have had a good start to the weekend, getting faster every session with Dan lapping faster than Leon Camier last season on the same bike show’s the pace of the 2010 Championship.
Andrew is again proving how crucial it is to have a solid two man team, his work ethic and experience has raised Dan’s level. Both the guy’s are more than capable of running at the front, they and my team deserve a good result”
